JACQUE LAUNCHES NEW PLATFORM FOR WOMEN

- Lucia Mazhou

LEADING make-up artist, Jacque Mgido, has launched an initiative that provides a platform for women to share their personal stories of resilience and triumph.

Women from diverse backgrounds, who included Michelle Chiyangwa and Natalie Mhandu, as well as musician Jah Prayzah, came together to confront and overcome the challenges that have historically impeded the advancement of women.

By amplifying the voices of these resilient women, Jacque is paving the way for a more inclusive and supportive community.

This initiative contributes to a cultural shift that recognises the strength and potential of women in all spheres of life, fostering positive change and a broader impact on society.

“The gathering of women from different walks of life signifies a collective effort to address the issues that have historically impeded the advancement of women.

“Through opening up about their struggles, these women not only shed light on the obstacles they faced, but also underscored the strength and determination that fuelled their journey to success,” said Jacque.

She added:

“The initiative breaks down barriers and dispels the notion that individual challenges are insurmountable.

“The stories shared during the gathering resonate with women across various demographics, fostering a sense of unity that transcends geographical and cultural boundaries.” Participants welcomed the initiative.

“Jacque Mgido’s initiative is not just about empowerment but also about creating a lasting impact by building a network of empowered women who can serve as mentors and role models for generations to come,” said a participant who only identified herself as Rita.

“The ripple effects of such gatherings extends beyond the immediate participants, influencing a broader audience and fostering positive change.

“In a world where women’s voices have often been marginalised, initiatives like Jacque Mgido’s provide a valuable platform for amplification.

“By acknowledging and celebrating the triumphs of women who have overcome adversity, we contribute to a cultural shift that recognises the strength and potential of women in all spheres of life.”
