Qounfuzed dismisses claims only 15 fans attended his show

- Nyasha Kada

DANCEHALL star, Qounfuzed, has dismissed claims only 15 fans attended his maiden show in China.

He says there were about 80 fans at the show and it is a fair number in terms of attendance figures at the pub where he performed.

He saluted those who attended his show at Dragon Club in Yuwi City.

Some online bloggers described the show as a major flop.

“The show had more than 80 people in attendance and not 15 like some bloggers are saying,” said Qounfuzed.

“The thing with China is the distance between the cities and also that it’s now the winter season, so some people could not make it to the show.

“I started to perform early when people were still entering so that people were aware that I was around for the show.

“I’m sure those were the videos that were circulated by certain individuals who want to tarnish my image.

“There have been cases where some artists have been advertised but didn’t make it, so I was trying to avoid that scenario with my fans.

“I’m grateful to those who actually made it for the show and look forward to return in Ocotober.”

The Kamunamato Kekubhawa singer put up an energetic two-hour performance.

The show is part of his world tour that has already seen him perform in other countries like Cyprus, Australia, India, South Africa and the UK in 2023.

“I am focusing on striking a balance this year and releasing more music, something I didn’t do last year because of touring.

“This year my fans can expect a lot of music and a lot of shows globally,” he said.

He is set to perform in Lusaka, Zambia, before heading to South Africa where a series of shows have been lined up in Cape Town and Johannesburg in March.
