- Trust Khosa

MOTIVATIONAL speaker, preacher and author, Samuel Chawana, believes people can still find joy and relief during trying times.

The 22-year-old, who once led a church at 16, believes he has the painkiller to share with those in depression and nursing drug addiction.

Chawana opened up in his second book titled “I am Joyful: 10 Keys To Joyful Living”.

It will be unveiled on March 2 at Cresta Oasis in Harare.

In an interview with H-Metro, Chawana said the book gives hope to those in despair.

“My second book seeks to help people ease their sorrows caused by economic pressures.

“I would like to urge people to find joy in everything they go through.

“I have also realised that happiness is a product of circumstance and that joy is from within.”

He added:

“My book is for everyone and I want to find the meaning of purpose in their lives.

“This book is also a product of divine inspiration, scientific research and personal experience.”

With Zimbabwe grappling with drug and substance abuse, Chawana believes his book can also help those with addiction problems.

“Without pre-emptying much from the book, it provides many answers to drug and substance abuse, anxiety, depression.

“I am just trying to use my talent in literature so that people can find joy even in trying times.

“No situation is permanent and what we all preach here is that people should find joy under tough conditions.”

Chawana made headlines last year when he published and successfully launched his debut book titled “Juggling Life”.

In this new book, he has decided to give strength to those in despair at a time when many are failing to handle pressure.

Brand managers and communications gurus Takemoe Mazuruse, Sibo Buhlungu, Simba Nyamadzawo and Tembalami are set to address guests at the launch.
