HUGE TURNOUT AT ‘NIGHT OF WONDERS’ SERVICE
PROPHET Passion Java’s Wednesday “Night of Wonders” church service held at City Sports Centre broke attendance records and attracted top celebrities from Zimbabwe and beyond.
Despite some scepticism leading up to the event, the auditorium was packed to the brim, with socialites, influencers and celebrities in attendance.
The flawless execution of the programme showed that the organisers had thought everything through, but it remains to be seen whether those that attended found the prophecies and message substantive.
Some people have shared Prophet Passion’s jokes from the event, while others questioned the calibre of people who believe in prophets.
Nonetheless, prophets of his calibre have a strong following on social media, and events like these provide important lessons. Influencer and life coach, Mudiwa Hood, occupied one of the front VVIP seats in solidarity with his close pal Prophet Passion.
Top South African amapiano exponent DJ Tira was among the international guests who received a prophecy from Passion.
Superstar Jah Prayzah and his team wowed the crowd with yet another polished performance.
It was indeed a great show of support for Jah Prayzah and Passion, who are both top influ- encers among Zimbabwe’s young people, hate them or love them.
Hours before the “Night of Wonders” service, businessmen, Philip Chiyangwa, Scott Sakupwanya and Mike Chimombe, had shared video clips on social media endorsing the event.
The promotional video seems to have helped boost Passion’s numbers for the night, as some people seem to have attended the event anticipating goodies from mbingas.
The power of connection and a big following on social media surely boosted the attendance.
The presence of DJ Tira and other foreigners also played a big part in Passion’s huge attendance. Passion is known for his jokes on social media, although at times he doesn’t know when to stop. As expected, some people are already sharing some of the jokes he cracked on Wednesday night. Wednesday night’s turnout proved that this new crop of prophets has a huge following.
No matter how much stick they get from social media trolls, the calibre of Passion can’t be wished away as they hold so much sway among both friends and foes.
