WESTWOOD COLLEGE: WHAT IS NOW
WESTWOOD College is one of the fast growing modern private colleges located in the serene environment of Westwood Community.
The college offers both Boarding and Day facilities to its students from Form 1 to Form 6. We pride ourselves as a registered school with the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education offering ZIMSEC and CAMBRIDGE EXAMINATIONS for O and A-Level students.
Our 2023 November examinations are worth to mention, with a pass rate of above 86% in O-Level and 98% in A-Level. As if that is not enough, we excelled in sports from Zonal, District and National levels.

Our curriculum is tailor-made to suit the demands of all learners toward their destiny. We offer Commercials, arts and pure sciences at O and A-Level.
Our pass rate speaks volumes of our dedication to see our children succeed. Some of our top achievers in A-Level with 14 and 15 points include.
Most learners managed to score double digit points in the learning areas. The same can be testified by our O-Level results of November 2023. Our pass rate stood above 86% with learners having 5 or more subjects at O-Level (English, Science and Maths included).

Satisfied with the academic excellence, we extend our curriculum to Cambridge.
We are offering unmatchable Cambridge lessons to our students in Form 1, 2 and 3 at affordable fees. Learners may sit for both ZIMSEC and Cambridge Examinations
C) State of the art infrastructure
The success rate in sciences is attributed to state of the art science laboratory which was constructed in 2023. The laboratory is spacious, well-furnished and secure.
Learners conduct their practical academics. Not only the science lab is a Centre of attraction, the computer lab is top notch with modern computers installed with the latest software. Learners sit for HEXCO exams in the computer lab. As a matter of fact, we did exceptionally well in 2023 HEXCO exam as well as Computer Science.
In addition, our classrooms are spacious, tilled and installed with modern teaching infrastructure. The boarding side is a paradise, very tranquil and smart with study rooms for learners. Recently, we renovated the multipurpose court for tennis, volleyball, basketball and netball.
D) Dedicated staff
Our dedicated staff is the vital cog in the educational engine. Their hard work, patience, tolerance and understanding made the dream a success. Our staff is highly qualified, motivated and self-driven to see your child succeed.
Their influence and presence cannot be conspicuous ignored. Some members are nationally acclaimed markers, item writers, life coaches, football trainers and religious ministers.

E) Sporting Powerhouse
“All work with no play makes Jack a dull boy” made Westwood College to incorporate co-curricular activities.
These activities are meant to bring social skills, intellectual skills, moral value and personality progress and character appeal in learner. We are astounding and avid supporters of sports like football, netball, tennis, volley ball swimming among others.
In the year 2023 we had almost half gold medals at district level in athletics. We stood tall at provincial level in athletics. Notably, our learners were distinct in Darts and Chess at National level.
As if that is not enough, we performed exceptionally well in soccer, netball and basketball up to national level.
We have a whole array of clubs that are thriving. The Debate and Public Speaking gave competition at Tournament of Elites held by Thunderminds. On the other hand, our Media Club visited Herald House for a hands on learning experience from renowned media personalities (check Kwayedza Dzidzo December edition).
We are doing well on the musical front and have some pending recoding deals. Our clubs are not limited but vastly extend to Environmental, First Aid, Entrepreneurship, Dance, Cheerleading, Foreign Language, Computer, Toast Masters, Pool, Maths and Writers, among others.
