KEN SHARPE’S VISION
WESTPROP Holdings chief executive, Ken Sharpe, says his vision is about laying the foundation for a Zimbabwe that will be a thriving nation in 50 years’ time.
The businessman bagged another award when he took the Zimbabwe Community ‘Distinguished Businessman’ gong.
“I often say I am not building the Zimbabwe of today, I am a man of the future. I live in 2050 and see it every day,” he said.
“That’s why I am not concerned about today or tomorrow or even 10 or 20 or 30 years from now.
“I am looking at Zimbabwe in 50 years’ time and beyond.
“I am very confident of that Zimbabwe.”
Sharpe said his real estate business, which sells and develops luxury lifestyle properties, was selling hope for a better and brighter Zimbabwe.
“However, to achieve that goal of supportive communities, we need to stand together as one nation, one people driven by the same goal to leave a better Zimbabwe for future generations.”
WestProp Holdings is developing a number of live, work, shop and play luxury lifestyle communities that integrate technology within urban living spaces to enhance liveability and safety.
The luxury estates, which come with social amenities and shopping malls, include Pomona City, which has been dubbed a ‘city within a city’, Millennium Park, which encompasses Millennium Heights, Pokugara and the Mall of Zimbabwe.
The Hills Golf Estate will come with a PGA-standard golf course, branded hotels and villas, a retirement home and a hospital.
The developments at WestProp have attracted the attention of international media organisations and property enthusiasts.
