MAPEZA’S MEN ADD THREE MORE PLAYERS

FORMER champions, FC Platinum continued with their rebuilding exercise this week by adding three new faces to the squad ahead of the 2024 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League campaign, which gets underway tomorrow.

Their opening match is against newcomers, Chegutu Pirates.

FC Platinum were deposed by rivals, Ngezi Platinum, last season.

They are keen to reclaim the league championship this season with a newlook side after offloading a number of their long-serving players.

As part of the renewal process, FC Platinum added Brian Kusinyera from ZIFA Northern Region Division One side Black Mambas, Felix Moyo from Bulawayo Chiefs and Shelton Mafukidze from their development side.

“Brian Kusinyera, a striker, welcome to the home of Champions! Hailing from the Black Mambas, his exceptional work ethic truly distinguishes him.

“His abundance of discipline aligns perfectly with Coach Mapeza’s expectations. Here’s to a fantastic season ahead,” FC Platinum announced on their social media handles.

They added:

“Felix Moyo, a right back, joins us from Bulawayo Chiefs, bringing a wealth of experience that complements the team.

“We are thrilled to welcome him to Zvishavane and his contribution marks another important milestone towards achieving our goals.

“Felix Moyo’s impressive skills on the field are matched only by his dedication and positive attitude off the pitch. His arrival has injected a new energy into the team, inspiring his fellow players to push their limits and reach new heights together.

Finally, they welcomed Mafukidze: “2024 is gearing up to be an unforgettable year with our recent transfers. Every day brings a new rising star. Keep an eye on Shelton Mafukidze this season, a young talent born and raised in Zvishavane.

“He was initially drafted into the development team and his current performance has earned him a promotion to the senior squad.

“Shelton Mafukidze’s incredible skills and determination have not gone unnoticed by Mushina Wemajuzi (Norman Mapeza).
