EMMANUEL JALAI CONFIDENT DEMBARE WILL BOUNCE BACK

- Curtworth Masango

DYNAMOS vice-captain Emmanuel Jalai is confident they will bounce back from their opening loss to Highlanders at Barbourfields on

Sunday.

DeMbare crashed to a 1-2 defeat and, for the better part of the game, they looked out-of-sorts. Jalai was the stand-in captain after Frank Makarati was ruled out due to injury.

Midfielder Tanaka Shandirwa was also not part of the squad after he rejected a deal from the club to pay his signing-on fee in batches.

His absence, and that of Junior Makunike, who left DeMbare after the club only offered him US$1 000 signing-on fee for the season, was felt in midfield.

Jalai, though, says the future will be bright for DeMbare.

“It was a good game and the better team won. Credit to my teammates, they gave it their all, although we lost, there are some positives to pick,” he said.

Jalai believes the new additions to the club will find their feet after having a difficult start.

“There are new guys who joined the team this season and you know what it like is to play for Dynamos.

“But, I can say everyone gave it their all and everything will go well for the team in the next encounters.”

He added:

“If you look at the squad, we have depth, whoever is chosen to play can do the work. It was just a bad day in the office but all the players gave it their all and the result did not come our way. “In our next fixture, we are looking forward to having a positive result and making our fans happy.”

DeMbare are set to host Hwange in their next fixture.

New acquisitions Nomore Chinyerere, Temptation Chiwunga, Fredrick Ansa-Botchway, and Alexander Mandinyenya were all given starts on their debut.

Mandinyenya scored in his first game for the Glamour Boys.
