TAMBAOGA CAN’T WAIT FOR UHURU GALA FIREWORKS

- Trust Khosa

LAST “Tambaoga” Chiangwa can barely wait to be part of the fireworks at the Independence music gala at Murambinda Growth Point in Buhera next Monday.

The 52-year-old says taking part in such national events remains an honour for him.

Tambaoga has been keeping a low profile in recent years.

“It’s something I have been doing over the years.

“I have always done this with passion for over 20 years and it’s an honour for me to be given this opportunity.

“Fans should expect nothing but pure fireworks on the day.” He added:

“I have been doing music since 1998 and I have always wanted to give fans the best I can both in the studio and on stage.

“I take my performances seriously and I can only assure Zimbabweans, who are visiting Murambinda for these celebrations, that they will have a day to remember.

“I, therefore, urge fans to show up in numbers as we celebrate our 44th Uhuru.”

The event will parade a star-studded line-up led by Suluman Chimbetu, Madzibaba Nicholas Zakaria and Sandra Ndebele.

Chief Hwenje of the Mai Welly fame, DJ Fantan, Shantel Sithole, Diana Samkange, Andy Muridzo, Argatha Murudzwa, Mathias Mhere, Bigboy Motsi, Takura, Simon Mutambi, Bio Mudimba and Mark Ngwazi are part of the bill.

Judging by the line-up, a funfilled gala is guaranteed with every genre catered for.

Jah Master and DJ Fantan will cater for Zim dancehall lovers while Mangwenya and Muridzo are for mbira lovers.

Tambaoga will take care of those who like music which is richly grounded on traditional beats like Chimurenga, jit lovers will look up to Chief Hwenje and Shantel Sithole, who is also comfortable as a Kanindo exponent.

The sungura lovers will be spoilt for choice with Ngwazi, Mutambi, and Mudimba entertaining the fans.

Zim Hip Hop lovers have Takura to look forward to.

Last year’s Independence Day celebrations were held in Mt Darwin.
