CHAMPION COLLEGE CEO WINS BIG

CHAMPION College Chief Executive Officer, Tendesai Mushamba, shone like a star at the Zimbabwe Business Awards ceremony on Saturday.

Mushamba scooped three prestigious awards that firmly cement the college’s dominance in the education sector.

He won the Businessman of the Year award.

Champion College, which started with one person in Harare Gardens and now has more than 200 students, bagged College of the Year award and the Academic Leadership Excellence Organisation of the Year award.

“Coming from the education sector, we’ve been awarded the College of the Year award, Businessman of the Year award and I’ve also been awarded with another award which is academic leadership excellence organisation of the year award.

“From the inception of our college, where it started in a rally, guidance moving to a single room, we now have more than 200 students recording splendid results that are not even being produced in schools that were established long time ago.

“And this can be evidenced by ten students who scored 15 points in Science in Cambridge exams and also nearly ten students managed to attain five As and five A stars and above at our school.

“We are complementing education, though we are coming as private investors in the business, after we realised that Zimbabwe is in short of around 3000 schools.

“So by entering the education sector, we are trying by all means to promote and perpetuate the mantra of the President that, ‘Nyika Inovakwa Nevene Vayo.’

“We have started building a boarding school in Uzumba.

“At Champion College, we are deeply concerned with positive results and, to achieve this, we first of all identify learning challenges in individuals,” he said.

Champion College is now the talk of town and beyond as it provides a very strong and permanent academic foundation to a solid base for a successful high school career.

The motto at Champion College is ‘Where Success Is Guaranteed,” simply because it provides the relevant support to enable learners achieve high flying results.

This is made possible by the maintenance of low teacher to learner ratio to achieve the best results.

All this is done with the full blessing of parents or guardians, who are also deeply involved in the education of their children.

The low teacher to student ratio actually enables the learning facilitators or classroom practitioners to have enough time to address learning challenges and then devise ways and means to come up with the most effective way to address such learning challenges.

of Zimbabwe .

3. Doctor Paida Jakachira, Human Resources and Systems Manager at Speedlink Cargo based in Harare. She is also the past vice president of Institute of People Management of Zimbabwe (IPMZ).

4. Mr. Founder Jakachira, the owner of WINFOUNDERS Micro Finance.

5. Doctor Philimon Chitagu, an exceptionally talented strategist and Human Resource Development Practitioner. Doctor Philimon is the immediate past IPMZ president, board member of Bindura University, DCH Africa Board of Human Capital Directors, ZPCS board member and an HR Director at Schweppes Private Limited.

6. Hermish Munyaradzi Marwa, CEO (owner of Knock Out Private Limited).
