I CAN’T WAIT TO ROCK AND ROLL IN BUHERA: MUDIMBA

- Trust Khosa

TONGA musician, Bio Mudimba of Kujatajata fame, insists he is not a one-hit wonder.

The 37-year-old, who is set to perform at the 44th Uhuru celebrations on April 18 in Buhera, says he has plenty to offer.

Mudimba will sample some of his new songs during the Uhuru celebrations at Murambinda Growth Point. He told H-Metro:

“I have never been to that part of Zimbabwe and it will be my first time to go and perform at Murambinda Growth Point on April 18.

“I have always loved to perform everywhere but I couldn’t be everywhere due to my tight schedule and other challenges.

“I just want to assure fans that they will hear new songs at the event and today (yesterday) I released a new song called Ma Zuba, which I hope will be an instant hit.”

The Kaani Stars Band leader hailed Zimbabweans for appreciating his talent.

“When we made waves with the song Kujatajata, I was humbled by the support we received countrywide.

“Zimbabweans, from all walks of life, embraced us and it gives me the strength and confidence to continue working hard as an artist.

“I always want to give back to my fans and the best way I am going to do so next month is through delivering one of my best performances at the Uhuru celebrations,” he said.

A fun-filled day is on cards at Murambinda Growth Point with an array of artists set to perform.

DJ Fantan and his Chillspot clique of Levels and Ribhe are part of the musical gala.

Suluman Chimbetu, Mark Ngwazi and Nicholas Zakaria are set to lead from the front.

Queen of dance Sandra Ndebele, Last “Tambaoga” Chiangwa, Chief Hwenje, Shantel Sithole, Diana Samkange, Argatha Murudzwa, Mathias Mhere, Bigboy Motsi, Takura and Simon Mutambi have been included in the line-up.
