PAKARE PAYE HOSTS ZTN CORPORATE POOL TOURNEY

- Trust Khosa

PAKARE Paye in Norton will tomorrow hold the ZTN Prime Corporate Tournament with a sub-plot to raise awareness against drug and substance abuse.

It starts at 11 am.

Clubs, who will participate in the tournament, include Norton Town Council, POSB, FBC, Verifying Engineering, Kambucha, POTRAZ, Museum of African Liberation, Quest Financial Services and Parliament of Zimbabwe.

Event coordinator, Shingi Kanhongo, said the tournament, has been endorsed by Norton residents.

“As ZTN, we are on an extensive drive to raise awareness about the impact of drug and substance abuse issues affecting our communities.

“We have engaged various corporates to push the same narrative, putting all hands on deck and assisting each other on how best we can curb the increase in drug and substance abuse.

“This is the second edition of its kind, in terms of bringing corporates together through sport, to share and enlighten communities on such critical issues.

“As an integrated media house, we are the voice of the voiceless and, as such, we then give these corporates the necessary media to voice their concerns against the abuse of drugs,” he said.

Kanhongo hailed the Pakare Paye management for believing in their concept.

“We are grateful to the management at the venue, led by Daisy Mtukudzi, who gave us a beautiful place to hold our tournament.

“Her late husband Tuku, together with Daisy, used to host similar tournaments and we feel blessed to be associated with their brand.

“On that note, we urge all the participants to show up in numbers and make the event a success.”

ZTN Prime will air the interviews meant to raise awareness against drug and substance abuse.
