In response to Mwonzora finding out that his ruse fools no one, WONDER KATIVHU says: I once said that the writing was on the wall, at least now MDC-T leader Douglas Mwonzora got a rude awakening. This is the end of his political career. Some of us hope that the virtual meeting with European Union heads of mission last week was a wake-up call for him. It is not too late for him to smell the coffee. Mwonzora, Morgen Komichi and Elias Mudzuri have eaten their last supper.

CHAMANDA says: MDC leader Douglas Mwonzora thought he would get foreign endorsement and enter into a unity government with Zanu PF and postpone elections to 2030. History will judge him harshly for selling out the struggle.

GWARISA says: This is just the beginning of his end. Elections will send him back to no man’s land.

IN response to We’ll fight for our name: Chamisa, ORGANISER CHEMHURU says: Good move. MDC Alliance can’t change its name because Zanu PF wants it to do so. They recalled MPs and councillors because they belonged to MDC-T, not MDC Alliance, according to them how come now they want the name. Why recall MDC Alliance MPs for belonging to the correct party? I don’t understand all this.

MUGRADE SEVEN says: That is where MDC Alliance and Nelson Chamisa lose it. Immaturity and indecision. What is so special in that name? The time is now to find a new name, rebrand, strategise and move forward instead of wasting time fighting for something that they know Zanu PF will do everything possible for them to lose it. There is no logic in taking the matter to court because the courts are extensions of Zanu PF — they are captured. If Chamisa lost his electoral challenge and MPs in the same courts, what of just a party name? Smell the coffee young Chamisa and man up.

ANDREW BOWKER says: Please let us not waste time fighting for a name. We know who we voted for and given another chance we will vote for Nelson Chamisa. Let them have the name and we will vote for anything that stands for Chamisa. What is needed is to reorganise and build strong rural and urban structures.
