IN response to Govt reads riot act on parastatals, ELVIS SIBANDA says: That same government has allowed and promoted corruption, especially in schools. Who has taught the people to do what they are doing?

IN response to Uncle Sam not letting go of little Zim, BERNICE HAWKES says: When will the majority of Zimbabwean citizens realise sanctions are imposed on certain individuals or companies which have gone against certain international laws. They are not imposed on entire countries or their citizens. Sanctions against a person means they cannot travel to the country that has imposed them, be it personal or business. They cannot have money/bank accounts/own property or assets in that country. And if they do, they will be frozen. Period. Sanctions do not effect Zimbabwean citizens at all.

DRY TOFARA says: Not even one of the conditions the United States (US) set 23 years ago were met. Zanu PF is still in charge and stronger. The opposition is in tatters. The Chinese are all over the country abusing employees. The Australians have discovered oil and gas in Zimbabwe. The reason why it suspended executive orders is to allow its businesses to do business in Zimbabwe. However, in order to do so it has to deal with the Zanu PF government, thus whichever way it sees it, it is a loss for the US. It wasted 23 years and achieved nothing besides impoverishing ordinary citizens.

CHARLES TSUNGU says: The United States removed executive orders because the junta was using it as an excuse for the meltdown of economy. It simplified them and went straight for the culprits.
