Forty words maximum IN response to Shortages loom as basics disappear from shelves,

PIKIRAYI says: The authorities are just being strong-headed for nothing. Populist policies will never work. Either we dump the Zimdollar and use the US dollar, or we stick to the local unit and make sure we get our policies right. The problem is that we have a leader who says they will ensure the economy is on the right path, yet seem to be doing nothing that signifies they are intent on making things right.

GWIZHIKITI

says: I knew things would come to a head. There was no way it would remain like this. The market is chasing good money, which is the US dollar, but then the authorities are choosing to stick their hand in the sand and breathe life into bad money (Zimdollar).

IN response to Army school expels Gr 6 pupil over uncut hair, MBUDAYA says: School rules should be followed to the letter and spirit. If we let children dictate the rules for us, then we are creating a problem for ourselves and the future generation. Those who want to have their children do as they wish should enrol them at schools that allow such.

REVESAI says: I thought those days are long gone when schools would make fuss about girls not cutting their hair. It would be an issue if the pupil had a funky hairstyle. Just that we do not know what kind of hairstyle the girl was sporting. But I want to believe that the school head overreacted by sending her packing.

LLOYD NECHIPANI says: In 2018, a student at St George’s College won a case at the High Court over this discriminatory behaviour by school authorities over uncut hair. Why are we brainwashed to hate our own nature? It’s very disgusting. I don’t see any problem with hair.

Rainmakers abandon Njelele shrine,

IN response to

RAMESH PATEL says: I do not believe that there are people who make rain. I believe in people who pray for rain. Rain comes from the skies up above, so there is no such thing as rainmakers.

IN response to Sabi Gold Mine production up 166%, JABULANI NYONI says: We have natural resources in the country, but the people of Zimbabwe are not benefitting from them. Only Zanu PF mafias are benefitting. Hospitals have no medication, not even painkillers. There are no ambulances. The drought is ravaging the country and there seems to be no solution to the challenge.
