First Mutual celebrates women’s month

FIRST Mutual Holdings Limited (FMHL) Group marked Internatio­nal Women’s Day with a grand celebratio­n at the Manna Resort in Harare last Friday.

The event, themed Inspire Inclusion, brought together inspiring speakers, engaging discussion­s and unforgetta­ble performanc­es to empower women.

FMHL Group marketing and strategy executive Farai Mangwende said the event was meant to celebrate women from all walks of life.

“We are here today to celebrate the incredible women who make up our communitie­s and drive positive change,” Mangwende said.

“The FMHL Group is dedicated to supporting and celebratin­g women at all levels, and this event is a testament to that commitment.”

Director of ceremonies Josephine Zitsanza ensured a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere throughout the day, saying: “Our theme this year is Inspire Inclusion because we believe that when women come together and share their voices, we can achieve anything.”

The programme offered a delectable lunch, fostering networking opportunit­ies.

Renowned inspiratio­nal speaker Beulah Chigumira Kufa, who is the director and franchise owner at Mortgage Choice Perth Northern Suburbs, Australia, captivated the audience with her insights and lessons.

“I am so honoured to be here today to celebrate with all of you. My message is simple: Believe in yourselves, dream big and never give up on your goals,” she said.

Gospel singer Janet Manyowa gave a thrilling performanc­e, followed by a thought-provoking discussion on financial management led by Fiona Ruzvidzo of First Mutual Reinsuranc­e.

“Financial literacy is essential for women. By taking control of our finances, we can empower ourselves and build a brighter future for ourselves and our families,” she said.
