Pills make me bleed

-

MY boyfriend ejaculated on top of my vagina, but I wiped as soon as I could. Is there a possibility that I might be pregnant? Reply If he ejaculated outside then there is nothing to worry about. I get it that you are not using protection and it’s sad to me that you are worried about getting pregnant than about being infected with a sexually transmitted disease. You need to use condoms — they not only prevent pregnancy but they protect you. If you are still worried go to a pharmacy and buy a pregnancy test kit and it will give you an accurate answer.

I am 29 and have been using contraceptive pills for a year-and-a-half now; the thing now is that they make me bleed for days while taking the white ones. This started three months back. Is it normal? Reply Bleeding is sometimes a common experience in women who have just started taking the contraceptive pill (especially during the first month). In cases such as these, it is probably acceptable to continue to take the Pill and wait to see if the bleeding settles down in the next month. In the majority of cases it does, and never happens again. It sounds as if you have been taking the Pill for some time and if this is the case then I do think you should discuss this with your doctor since it may be a sign that the hormone balance of your particular Pill does not quite suit you and may need altering. There are a great many different strengths of Pill now available and each woman responds differently to a particular Pill, which is why there is not one Pill for all available. Make an appointment with your doctor to get to the bottom of your bleeding.

I am in love with my landlord’s daughter and I want to marry her. Our parents do not know about the relationship and we are scared they will disapprove. Help. Reply If you want your relationship to continue then you should convince your parents to move house. That way you take out the tenant-landlord relationship out of the equation. Finding alternative accommodation will give both sets of parents the impression that you are serious about the relationship. When you are residing somewhere else then you can let the cat out of the bag — your parents will object but to win their support you should do it the African way — tell your aunts and they will do the job for you. If your parents are resisting aunts will help to win them over. Your girlfriend should do the same.

My girlfriend is always asking for money. If I don’t give her she gets angry and she is never grateful for what I do for her. Does she love me? Reply Dishing out money like an ATM machine has nothing to do with love — she is immature, materialistic and selfish to understand that. The lack of gratitude when you meet her needs demonstrates that she has three of these sad characteristics. She is

I take too long to ejaculate and at times during the second round I fail to. I want to know what should I do to ejaculate. Reply Inhibited ejaculation is essentially the opposite of premature ejaculation — ejaculation takes a long time or does not happen at all. If a man can ejaculate after prolonged stimulation he suffers from retarded ejaculation, if he cannot ejaculate at all he suffers from anejaculation. I am sorry to say I cannot tell you what to do to ejaculate because first the cause must be discovered, as treatment varies depending on cause. If you can ejaculate normally from a few minutes of solo masturbation, the cause is almost certainly psychological. If you are taking any prescription medication you should ask your doctor if the inhibition of ejaculation is a known side affect. If you experienced normal ejaculation and gradually or suddenly suffered from inhibited ejaculation you should visit a doctor.

What are the health risks associated with licking a girl’s vagina? — Curious. Reply Performing oral sex on a woman carries a theoretical risk of HIV transmission for the insertive partner (the person who is licking or sucking the vaginal area) because infected vaginal fluids and blood can get into wounds and tears which are inside the mouth. (This includes, but is not limited to, menstrual blood). Likewise, there is a theoretical risk of HIV transmission during oral sex for the receptive partner (the person who is having her vagina licked or sucked) if infected blood from oral sores or bleeding gums come in contact with vulva or vaginal cuts or sores. The risk of HIV transmission during oral sex is low compared to vaginal and anal sex. However, there have been cases of HIV transmission and STDs resulting from oral-vaginal sex.

My boyfriend wants to have sex with me while I am menstruating. Is it safe and healthy? — Reply It all boils down to you — your boyfriend wants it — do you? If you are not comfortable then don’t do it. Most lovers don’t like the idea of having sex during a period, they see it as a natural monthly break in the action, and others are perfectly comfortable with it. In fact, it is said that sex while you are menstruating can help ease the symptoms of PMS if you achieve orgasm. An orgasm releases endorphins, natural painkillers and mood enhancers, which can help with the cramps, headaches, mild depression, and irritability sometimes associated with periods. Also, many women enjoy sex more when they are menstruating because of increased feelings of fullness in the pelvic and genital areas, which give you a head start on arousal. If you have sex with a guy during your period, you can still get pregnant. And you get sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) during this time — in fact, having sex when a girl has her period can make it even easier to spread STDs. Safe sex is even more crucial during your period. A woman’s risk of sexually transmitted disease and infection is higher than normal during this time because the cervix opens to allow blood to pass through. Unfortunately, this creates the perfect pathway for bacteria to travel deep inside the pelvic cavity. A woman is also more likely to pass on blood-borne diseases like HIV and hepatitis to a partner during her period, and she’s more likely to develop yeast or bacterial infections because the vagina’s pH during menstruation is less acidic. Finally, there is still a chance that you could get pregnant during your period unless you are on the Pill, so don’t assume it’s safe to forgo contraception. So always use a condom every time you have sex.
