Let’s put our country first

-

ZIMBABWEANS from all corners of the country must learn to love their country. I’m surprised to see other countries loving Zimbabwe more than we the owners of the country.

Every year we have thousands of tourists who come to visit the country to see some of the tourist attractions but to my surprise we have millions of Zimbabweans who have decided to run away from the same beautiful country to stay in different countries where the standard of living in those countries are even worse when we compare them to Zimbabwe.

To show that Zimbabwe is a beautiful to live in, we have other greedy countries beyond our borders that are busy promoting their fading tourism industries by marketing our tourist attractions as if they are found in other countries.

We have high quality hospitals in Zimbabwe. Let’s love and support our hospitals because they were built for us Zimbabweans. Also our education is ranked in the top in Africa but some people will choose to send their children to attend schools in other countries where the standards of education are lower than in Zimbabwe.

We have high grade primary, secondary and universities in Zimbabwe so there is no need for our rich parents to spend huge sums of money on useless colleges and universities which are in other countries.

When these people die, you will hear that the burial service was delayed for more than two weeks as the mourners would be waiting for the arrival of children from low profile colleges and universities from Africa and abroad. I feel this is not good for our country.

Pastors and politicians must also play their part in educating the people about putting their country first. They prefer to get services from companies and hospitals in other countries at the expense of local ones.

I hope we will see a change in the near future.
