School head or fraud?

-

A HEADMASTER of a certain school in Plumtree is said to be in trouble with parents, as they are accusing him of misconduct.

A letter written to this publication, which this rumour monger so happened to get a glimpse of, apparently alleges that the headmaster used his late brother’s certificates and qualifications to get to where he is now.

“The head is using the educational qualifications of his brother who passed away long back by the name . . . The head’s actual birth name is . . . but he took his brother’s educational qualifications and changed everything to himself. This is also exhibited by the way he runs the school. He is always charging teachers willingly to maintain his ego at the school . . . ” reads part of the letter.

It is also rumoured that last year half of the staff at the school tendered their resignations, in protest of the way he runs the school. Parents have also accused him of being responsible for the low pass rate at the school.

“In 2014 he opened a final Grade 7 exam paper (General Paper 2) a week before the students sat for the exam, as a way of improving the pass rate at the school . . . , ” the letter reads.

“This headmaster has ruined our beloved school. Failure to investigate him, we are going to demonstrate against his unruly behaviour,” threatened a group of parents in the letter.

Sunday Buzz will this week investigate the matter to try and get to the bottom of it.
