THE ruling party, Zanu-PF has started preparations for the party’s National Annual People’s Conference which will be hosted by Matabeleland South in December.

In an interview after a Provincial Coordinating Committee meeting yesterday in Gwanda, the party provincial chairman, Cde Rapelani Choene, said the executive has already started making preparations that would see them hosting a successful conference. He said since the province was emerging from hosting a successful 21st February Movement Celebrations in Matobo, the challenge was now for them to continue from where they left.

He said while there were yet to chose a venue for the conference they could not afford to relax as they had to start mobilising resources.

“As you might remember at the last conference last year, which was hosted in Masvingo we were the first province to meet all the requirements, this time we want to do that again, we want to be ready well before the conference,” he said.

Addressing the same the PCC meeting Politburo member and Minister of Rural Development, Preservation and Promotion of National Culture and Heritage, Cde Abednico Ncube said Zanu-PF members should go back to their respective districts and continue with the restructuring and verification of party cells.
