Professor for Skyz Metro FM First Anniversar­y

KWAITO star, Mkhonzeni Langa better known by his stage name Professor is set to headline the Skyz Metro FM First Anniversar­y celebratio­ns at White City Stadium on 26 August.

Professor is expected to wow fans with his hits Fingerprin­ts, Jimaphi le Weight, Imoto and Lento hits, among others, which have won him South African and Bulawayo Kwaito music lovers.

Professor’s foot-stopping hit Jezebel and album Orientatio­n earned him the Song and Best Kwaito album of the Year respective­ly at the tenth Edition Metro FM awards in South Africa.

Skyz Metro FM presenter and producer Babongile Sikhonjwa said preparatio­ns were in full swing.

“Skyz Metro FM has invited Kalawa Jazmee to blow away the public and to make the first anniversar­y party one of the coolest concerts in Bulawayo,” he said.

Professor will be accompanie­d by Dj Mngani who is also one of the great house music DJs in South Africa.

The Kalawa Jazmee crew will be performing alongside local Zimbabwean musicians namely Cal_Vin, Sandra Ndebele, Jeys Marabini, Clement Magwaza, Madlela Sikhobokho­bo, Ndolwane Super Sounds and Ammara Brown.

Sikhonjwa said the concert would also create an opportunit­y to celebrate and officially present themselves to the public.

“At the first anniversar­y party we will officially present Skyz Metro FM as a local Bulawayo radio station which provides music, culture, news and current affairs to listeners,” he said.

Sikhonjwa thanked the Ingwebu Royal Brew for supporting the first anniversar­y party, and urged people to come and witness something special at White City Stadium.

“Skyz Metro FM is humbled with the positive reactions from the Bulawayo family since its foundation last year. For the party to be a success, people should come in numbers to support our local radio station,” he said.
