Otis Fraser’s sister ventures into music

OTIS Fraser’s sister, Chantall (28) has decidedcid­ed to follow thee family’s musical cal tradition as shee dropped her first single trackk on Friday.

Chantal Fraser who is a full time clothing othing designer comes from a family of musicc fanatics, but for the past eight t years has beenen focusing onn her designingn­g career andd her clothing label Chantee Clothing.

Inspired by her strong familyily musicall background Fraser saidd she has been singing forr a while, but has decidedd to record her first single Better Than Yesterday.

“Music is somethingo­methingg that runs in my y family’s blood. od. My y parents used sed too own a bandd when we were young. oung. I guess that’s where I caught the musicc bug. Actually,lly, I have been singing ngingg for quite longeronge­r r than I have been designingn­ingg clothes. All my siblings aree actually into nto o music, evenenn my brother err who is in UKK is also a disc jockey,” said Fraser.

T h e single trackk Betterr Than n Ye s t e r d a y featuring Love ve and House is a social commentary mentary piece which focuses on motivating people eople when in challengin­g situations. FraserF “The single track is more of a motivation­al song which challenges people not to give up easily and tackle their challenges head on. In such trying times people have to just keep on moving with the th thought that tomorrow may be a better day. The tracktr inspired me first and I have decidedd to breathe lil i fe into i t and share t the he song with th e rest o of Zimbabwe,” ZZimbabwe,” she said. Setting her first step on commercia commercial music, Fraser added that the single track was a precursor to an album she is working on. “Ju s t ddesigning,lld like fashion designing, music iis is something tha that I am passionate about. The single track won’t be my llast last effort on music as I am working on an album which is in tthe the pipeline,” she said.
