A HWANGE maid will rue the day she decided to quench her sex demons by stripping naked her boss’s fiveyear-old daughter before she sexually molested her after she was slapped with a 12-month prison term.

The 20-year-old maid was found guilty by Hwange resident magistrate, Mrs Rose Dube. Three months of her sentence were conditionally suspended while the rest were converted to community service.

The maid (name withheld to protect identity of victim) who was facing a charge of indecent assault pleaded not guilty arguing that she only touched the Grade Zero pupil’s private parts when she was bathing her. The court heard that on dates unknown to the prosecutor but between 16 June and 21 August this year, she would call the girl to her spare bedroom where she would remove her clothes.

Thereafter she would cause the complainant to mount her while she rubbed and caressed her private parts using her fingers.

Prosecuting, Ms Memory Munsaka further stated that whenever the young girl refused the sex gestures her caretaker would threaten to assault her. However, the matter came to light when the girl expressed joy when she heard that her tormentor was going to be replaced by someone else. This raised her mother’s eyebrows who queried her daughter as to why she was happy with the maid’s departure. In an innocent and childly manner, the girl revealed the abuse she had gone through at the hands of the maid. A report was made to the police, leading to her arrest.
