Men with ‘six pack’ a big deal: Women

- Bhekumuzi Ncube Sunday Life Reporter

BARBERTON, Dynamic Health Studio, Body Works and Geddes Gyms in the City of Kings are packed with hundreds of men lifting weights to perfect their physics and perhaps to develop ‘‘six pack’’ abs that are extensively desired by ladies across the world.

For time immemorial, money has been regarded as the main reason that women consider when choosing their partners, but recent studies and observations show that women are becoming more interested in men that are strong, muscular and athletic. They are considered good company to ‘‘hang out’’ with, ideal ‘‘hook-up’’ sexual and even for long-term relationships.

Sculptured abs drive women wild across the world and whenever men with such developed abs pull off their shirts, women are almost always going to scream and offer themselves to these “dream” partners.

Their reactions resemble that of men when they see a beautiful, curvaceous woman with hips to kill for walking in the streets; a bit like a person visiting Paris for the first time! Unquestionably, women adore these men and their well defined abs: to them, men with abs are charming, hot and sexy hunks that they have countless erotic fantasies about.

Sunday Life interviewed some women in Bulawayo and asked them what they look for in a man. They all spoke about handsomeness, boldness, confidence, sweet voices, money, height and friendliness as qualities of desirable men.

“When muscular men are around us they make us feel safe just like the great King Kong protected the beautiful women from dangerous beasts in the jungle. Their masculine looks send a message to those lunatics who dare approach us of the consequences of such actions,” most of the women interviewed said.

“Men with six packs are hot and sexy. Women want strong partners who can carry them around during romantic times,” they joked.

However, all women agreed that being muscular did not mean those men are stallions in bed!

Millions of men across the world are hitting the gym to be in good shape as well as impress women. Some men are have developed V-shaped or carrot shaped bodies in their pursuit of the perfect body to attract women.

Edison Dube, who works at Barberton Gym in the city said over 100 men have joined their gym in recent months.

A member of the Barberton gym who refused to be named said he had long realised that women appreciate men with well defined abs, and decided to hit the gym after his former girlfriend had also advised him to work on his body.

“It’s no secret that women are swept off their feet when they see muscular guys. When I joined the gym, I was determined to have abs often seen on celebrities so that I could charm any woman I wanted. However, with time, I have grown to like the gym as it keeps my body in shape,” he said.
