Well-wishers rescue Esigodini family

- Mashudu Mambo Sunday News Reporter

THE founder and leader of Eagle Life Assembly Church Dr Prophet Blessing Samuel Chiza and his wife Prophetess Tatiana Chiza have pledged to build a fourroomed house for an Esigodini family which appealed for assistance after the wife gave birth to triplets last year.

In an interview, Prophetess Chiza said she came across the story in this newspaper which created a desire in her to help the family.

“I came across this story in the newspaper and it touched my heart. What really touched me was the issue of the triplets as this couple had received a blessing from God. I then sent a team to go and assess the situation at hand. After that we sent people to buy nappies, pampers, clothes and cartons of formula milk for the children. We also want to build them a four-roomed house so that they can be able to live a normal life,” she said.

Members of the church also joined in and two of them pledged to pay school fees for the two older children for this term while some promised to buy clothes, food hampers and money. The father of the triplets Mr Philip Mwinde said he was happy that he got help as his earnings were not enough to cater for the needs of the family.

“I am very happy and grateful for the donation, it really means a lot to me as my other children had stopped going to school because all the money that I earned through temporary jobs was not enough to cater for everyone,” he said.

The triplets were born on 20 September last year at the United Bulawayo Hospitals. The couple now has six children and was facing challenges of food and clothing especially for the triplets. The major problem they were facing was that the mother was using one breast to feed the triplets as the other has stopped producing milk due to excessive sulking. Well-wishers can visit Number 20 Habane Township in Esigodini or contact the parents on 0773569997.
