A SOUTH African-based maid turned bitcoin pro builder has revealed that she now earns US$15 000 per month following her entry into the use of the virtual currencies by inaugurating others into the bitcoin mining company, Bitcoin Club Network.

Ms Sharon Gagisa told Sunday News Business that after a decade working in South Africa as a maid she has returned to Zimbabwe as a budding business person.

“This past December was the first time for me to come home being confident because I now have the means to support myself. As a maid in South Africa I was failing to make ends meet although I was able to put my two children through school, but I could not come home to relax. I only came for funerals and would stay for two days and go back to South Africa to work,” she said.

Ms Gagisa said she was introduced to the company by a friend and could not resist after hearing the benefits that come with being a member of bitcoin club member.

“I was introduced by a friend who was so excited about it and then I could not let it pass me by and the results have been extremely amazing. One of the reasons why I joined it is because many investment opportunities have come and gone without us investing in them. If someone tells you that Bill Gates is also using bitcoins you will obviously jump in,” she said.

She, however, said she was aware that many people have been robbed before by companies that claim to be bitcoin miners.

“We are fully aware that people have been robbed before by other companies but Bitcoin Club Network is a real company that is legitimate,” she said.

A bitcoin is a type of digital currency in which encryption techniques are used to regulate the generation of units of currency and verify the transfer of funds, operating independently of a central bank.

The Minister of Finance and Economic Development, Patrick Chinamasa, during an interview at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland described the use of bitcoins as a utopia. He, however, stressed the need for Zimbabwe to first get its own currency before the use of the cryptocurrency.
