UP-AND-COMING witty rapper, Mthulisi Talent Kheswa, aka DR MTK who recently dropped a album which has redefined Christian music and sort to empower youths is gearing up for an all university and college tour.

e tour has been scheduled to kick start at the end of February. Following the successful launch of his album Warfare in the Wilderness which he dropped in a glamorous event at Music Academy, the former SRC president of Hillside Teachers’ College feels his album is full of content which can strike a chord and appeal to the youths.

The 14-track album which features fellow rappers such as Tinda, Creezy, Benny Jones and Fish contains a deep social commentary ranging from political and economical awareness to spiritual awareness since his music has deep undertone of gospel in it.

“What makes my project peculiar is its witty social commentary which is from a Christian perspective since the genre is known for its decadence. I resolute to stand up and speak against practical issues hence the decision to spread the word to other youths who need to evaluate the situation as well,” DR MTK said.

Asked why he chose to focus on tertiary institutions he said : “I believe that for any African country young people are the ones who comprise the larger population but are less involved in decision making processes with regards to issues affecting them.

“Thus in the track Hapana mari I’m challenging decision makers to consider the youths who thrive hard to make a living,” he shared.

The witty rapper will start by gracing his former college followed by other tertiary institutions which include Midlands State University (MSU), University of Zimbabwe (UZ), Bulawayo Poly and Harare Poly among others.
