Sprucing up your home

-

SOMETIMES when your spirit is down it is almost impossible to change your energy.

However, changing the energy around you can also lift up your spirit.

Decorating your home is one of the most therapeutic things anyone can do when you feel challenged in life.

Create an amazing platform for love, health and tranquillity that you desire by simple adding or changing colour, form, sound and scent around you.

You do not need to turn your home upside down. Make the space around you look and feel more like you at your best, you will add harmony, beauty, order, and clarity to your surroundings at the same time uplifting your spirit.

Here are some of the things that you can do in order to create a good vibe in your home.

Your spirit determines the look of your home. Most of the times the corners of your home show that you are feeling stuck in life or your spirit is up. When there is disorder around you, it shows that you are stuck. Hence, thoroughly cleaning your home can be the only remedy. Change the form of how things were, by so doing looking at a new surrounding will uplift your spirits.

The colour that you use plays a pivotal role; colours bring different vibes to your surrounding. Yellows usually add radiance, greens spur growth and flexibility, reds welcome prosperity, and oranges bring warmth and cheer. While there are so many meanings to colour, the best colour therapists I’ve met have all said the same thing: Start with your favourite colours and keep them on display.

Get rid of bad memories . . . from photos to furniture. Photos associated with painful times, outfits from parts of your life you don’t want to dwell on, furniture that you have no use for gifted from friends and family . . . all of it can be donated if it’s not serving you. Make sure that you do not keep anything that does not stimulate happiness when touched.

Be creative in whatever you do. An art practice will help you to heal and balance and spark change in your life. It doesn’t have to be a “serious” or “significant” hobby. Painting, or getting into your favourite childhood crafts totally can help in ways that you will think of.

Beautiful surrounding uplifts everyone’s spirit in a home.
