Provisional list for the Breeders Fillies Mile Listed race out

MASHONALAND Turf Club have unveiled a provisional list of five entries for the 2019 edition of the 1 600m Breeders Fillies Mile Listed race meeting to be held at the race course on 20 October.

This list is made of three equines submitted by the reigning champion trainer Bridget Stidolph, led by Prescott who is merit rated 68. From the same stable is Lilly Blue who is the secondly highest rated nominee alongside Wijdaan thrown into the hat by trainer Gokhan Terzi.

The last entry from the yard of Stidolph is Gimmethegreenback who was entered with a merit rating of 65.

From the list Lil Miss Gee anchors the merit ratings table after she recorded a low rating of 52 according to the entries list made available by the local horse racing authority Mashonaland Turf Club.

According to the racing manager Betina Guragena stables will converge again at the same venue tomorrow for the weights and draws stage followed by the acceptances.

Once these two stages are over MTC is expected to compile the race card showing the last five races the horse took part in including how they fared among other pertinent information to enable punters to decide how they will put their necks on the block come race day.

Meanwhile the button keeps on exchanging hands at the race course after trainer Gokhan Terzi returned back to the yard with the largest haul of medals after sending out four winners in the last race meeting held at Borrowdale Racecourse.

The most prized asset delivered to the stable on the day was from the major race of the day the AFZ Charity race carrying $18 000 as prize money.

Trainer Kirk Swanson picked up two gold medals after horses from his yard won in races 4 as well as five respectively while Bridget had one gold medal to after one for her runners crossed the line ahead in race three.

The solid show by horse trained by Terzi comes on the heels of Kirk Swanson who also had a good showing after taking over from Thomas Mason who was the first trainer off the blocks when the 2019/20 season resumed.
