Zimra board chairperson is doing a sterling job. Thanks must be given to Madam Bonyongwe for her efforts to bring sanity to Zimra. Please continue with these audits of the employees because people need to be exposed for their corruption and theft. We need to root out these people who are defrauding the nation of their taxes. — Shakespeare Chitema, Harare.

Experience should be the best teacher in our agro-life. The Government should target at least 75 percent success in this Command Agriculture programme. This will be an impressive pass rate. Dr Made should also ensure the Agritex officials on the ground are abreast with the importance of their role. It’s encouraging that some farmers are expecting high yields. — Cde Mzvinavhu, Harare.

A happy New Year to all Zimbabweans in the country and abroad. I pray that this year there is a considerable effort by all to be patriotic and work towards the development of our beautiful land. Let there be a coming together of people that is constructive and working towards assisting Zimbabwe to fulfil its potential. — Taurai Kureba, Gweru.

Food security is important and if it requires auditing so let be it. We no longer want to remain stagnant and waste resources that have been afforded to us to ensure food security. We need to feed ourselves as a country from 2017 onwards. Yes to audits please. — Kevin Pamire, Bindura.

I am so saddened by the outbreak of typhoid in Harare. Harare City Council is not doing a good job. I wonder how the Mayor feels when he is driving in the city or home, seeing rubbish all over the place that he is doing nothing about. From the day they got into office I have never seen improvements done by the Mayor and his team. — Tendai Mutendi, Harare.
