THIS year Zimbabweans must put more effort into sport. If we want to compete and succeed on the international scene we will need financing and everyone should take part, not the Government alone. — E. Mhlanga, Mutare.

*** Police should stop throwing spikes at vehicles, especially those carrying passengers. I was in a City-Queensdale mushika-shika and a police officer threw a spike underneath the car which was carrying six people. I am still in shock and would appreciate if police stopped this and find other ways to restore order on the streets. — Chiedza Gwaze, Harare.

*** I wish the Warriors the best. I believe they are going to make us proud at the Afcon and as a nation we should support the boys. The success of the Warriors is the success of our nation. — Kudzai Gwara, Bindura.

*** It is necessary to punish those abusing our good Command Agriculture programme by selling inputs. Now that the programme has been piloted, those responsible for implementing it must be efficient and institute the necessary risk controls to ensure no one with criminal intent or not able to produce as required, will access the inputs in the future. Due punishment must be meted out against those who are caught in the wrong. — Jonathan Muwa, Mazowe.

*** Go Warriors go! We are capable of shocking the so called giants. This is our time to showcase our talent and remove the underdog tag. We will shock the so called big teams. — Tatenda Kashawo, Gweru.

*** Schools have opened and I would like to wish all those going back to school a successful term. Zimbabwe has long been known for its educational prowess and we need to get to the highest standards. This can happen if we are committed to an education programme that is diverse and developmental. — Kudakwashe Munyai, Kwekwe.
