Believe in yourself

“For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”

Doubt is one of the most difficult things to overcome in a person, where you have absolutely no belief in anything you do. As time progresses you seem to do a lot more wrong than right and at every turn you are certain that life is working against you rather than for you.

When you find yourself in that zone, you begin to question everything about yourself. Why was I born, am I cursed, can I ever amount to anything? You are caught up in a whirlwind where you believe that nothing positive will ever come out of anything you attempt to do.

One of the greatest qualities a person can ever have is self-worth, the ability to believe in yourself to a point where you feel you can achieve anything. A lot of time is wasted trying to rationalise failure rather than just take it for what it is, an unfortunate set of circumstances that can be overcome through God’s case.

It is so much easier to focus on the struggle we go through as people when we try to be achievers, and our confidence is easily shaken by the external circumstances that we have no control over. So many things can damage one’s self worth, it could be troubled relationships that are abusive and they make you question your value and the loudest voices in your head all become negative.

Are you battered and tired? Are you at a point where you do not know whether you are coming or going? It’s so easy to be on this roller coaster of doubt where you begin to question your very existence.

No matter where you find yourself, the Lord created you in a manner that allows you not only to be the person you aspire to be but to achieve far beyond your imagination.

With His assistance, His grace and His love you can soar.

Believe in His ability to breathe the breath of confidence into your lungs.

The next time you feel down or out of sorts or you doubt your abilities, remember that He is the author, and He can pen your story in a direction that you never imagined. Just believe and trust, He is able.
