ZIMBABWE was eliminated from Afcon, but when we say Pasuwa is too rigid, I wonder what becomes of the rest of Zimbabwean coaches? Winning four league titles on the trot, qualifying for Afcon despite all the challenges the team faced, shows he is doing something right. — Mungandidii, Harare.

Julius Malema is irrelevant. He spent a substantial amount of time during a Press conference which was about the EFF’s Plan of Action for 2017 talking about President Mugabe and ZANU-PF. The plan of action, as he was even reminded by some journalists, including veteran journalist Sophie Mokoena, was about the EFF plans for South Africans. But in his unbridled buffoonery and excitable camera loving idiocy, he was off ramping and focusing on ZANU-PF. He should focus on his pressure group. — Sekuru Nzou, Norton.

Harare City Council needs to consider pedestrian safety as they engage in their operation against food vendors. Recently, their patrol caused commotion around the Copacabana area as vendors tried to flee with their wares. Innocent people got caught up in the confusion and the scenes were not flattering. — Concerned Citizen, Harare.

Khama Billiat is right to apologise after the Warriors’ shameful display. They could have played better. I blame Khama. From the second game, he did not show any brilliance. Peter Ndlovu used to fight until the end. However, Khama wanted to show off and glorify himself above the team. He could not make basic decisions when he had possession. Instead of finding space he would want to dribble through defenders and shoot when there was an unmarked teammate. He should get a leaf from Knowledge Musona who knows how football is played, not trying to eclipse everyone. — Prof Mununhema, Harare.
