MDC- T- LED municipalities have suffered from poor leadership over the years. This is akin to the MDC-T leadership failing political apprenticeship before they can aspire for higher office in our motherland. To a large extent, this explains why the electorate has refused to promote the MDC-T leadership to lead Zimbabwe. Come 2018, ZANU-PF will reap its God-ordained success in the harmonised elections. We sincerely praise the Lord. Amen. — Cde Muzvinavhu (Prof), Harare.

Are the living and late African stalwarts happy with events unfolding at the AU Headquarters in Addis Ababa? Kwame Nkrumah, Julius Nyerere, Jomo Kenyatta, Haile Selassie, Nelson Mandela, Patrice Lumumba, Thomas Sankara, Samora Machel and the legendary President Mugabe must not be impressed. The likely answer is a big NO. Most of the new leaders are now off the Pan Africanist rail. — Cde Bla Max Boomerang.

I am astonished. We have a curious way of handling issues in Zimbabwe. The punishment for being a corrupt policeman is being transferred to a different police station, sometimes one that’s even better than the previous one. You plunder and destroy our natural resources, it’s a $10 fine, or four days in prison as in the case of the cops who were arrested for illegal gold panning. — Judas, Harare.

CAF should reconsider and allow national teams to change squads during tournaments. This should be done on the following conditions: the national team will be charged; the national team will be responsible for logistics to get the new set of players to the tournament and get out those discarded. This should help kick out all the mercenary-like players holding their countries to ransom. On the other hand, national associations should have bonus and allowance schemes well in place before tournaments to allow those not satisfied to opt out. Yes, players need money, but they should not use the arm-twisting methods to get that. National associations should play ball by offering reasonable allowances. — True Makepekepe, Warren Park.
