Put your hope in God

-

Isaiah 40 vs 31; “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.”

HAVE you ever felt like you are being strangled and everything you try to do just won’t take off? Things become so bad that you start to think you are probably the unluckiest person on earth.

A year ago one of my readers used to send me messages telling me how unbearable life had become and that nothing was going well in her life.

A few days ago I received a series of texts from the same person, filled with excitement and hope. She told me that she was about to pay the last instalment on a loan and after that she would be debt free.

This was great news because at about the same time last year she was scared she was going to lose her job because she was drowning in debt and money lenders were on her case.

I guess when we are going through a rough patch it’s very difficult to see beyond the problems. Our minds become so focused on the negativity that we tend to only see the gloom and not the possibility of a turn-around, we can’t even imagine that things will get better.

Are you going through a difficult time currently and you are slowly sinking in sorrow? Rest assured that God is able to turn your mourning into joy. He has the power to reshape your story, allow you to see new horizons and renew your hope.

No matter how you feel today be assured that your current reality is in no way an indication of what the future holds for you. Getting to the next destination requires perseverance and buckets of faith that will enable you to imagine a better tomorrow.

Don’t allow your mind to be clouded by your current situation. Place your hope in Him and pray that He gives you the mind of a child that sees possibilities in everything. Be blessed. REFLECTIONS OF A WORK IN PROGRESS ...
