Sandi Moyo, Mahoka should face the music

-

EDITOR — The divisive duo of Sarah Mahoka and Eunice Sandi-Moyo should have done something wrong to attract the wrath of women from all the country’s 10 provinces.

The Zanu-PF Women’s League rarely raises its internal tiffs with the public unless something serious happens.

The two are said to have set up parallel structures meaning they were in defiance of the First Lady’s authority. They want to follow the footsteps of ousted apparatchiks like Joice Mujuru who was ousted for undermining the authority of President Mugabe and colluding to plot against him.

Sarah Mahoka has always been wayward, if we can track back to her jibes towards Vice President Mnangagwa at Zanu-PF Headquarters.

She showed that she is not fit to be in the senior structures of the Women’s League. Her choice to ignore proper structures available for airing grievances if they arise, exposed her.

They should be probed for collecting fuel coupons and cash, using the party’s name and events to raise money for personal use has never been the Zanu-PF way of doing things.

That is an insult to the party and all it stands for, Zanu-PF has never been known for duping people.

I agree with Cde Sithembubuhle Sibanda that there is no space in Zanu-PF for leaders who disrespect the President and the First Lady.

The petition has to sail through and if the majority of the Women’s League believe that Sandi-Moyo and Mahoka are not fit to lead them, the leadership has to obey the feelings of the people.

President Mugabe has on countless occasions emphasised the need to listen to the party membership, since they are the ones who walk into the voting booth to select their preferred leader.

Mahoka and Sandi-Moyo should see the exit door. They are no longer in touch with the people’s voice.
