HARARE, 27 March 1992. — The Zimbabwe Institute of Management’s president-elect for the forthcoming year, Mr Geoffrey Chada, on Monday said the critical challenge facing Zimbabwean business leaders was how to adapt to the current revolutionary environment taking place in the entire region.
Mr Chada, who is also the executive secretary of the Zimbabwe Mass Media Trust, was the guest of honour at the annual general meeting of ZIM, an association of business managers from all sectors of the public and private sector.
He said the current political, economic and social revolution taking place, not only in Zimbabwe, but also in the region, demanded that the business community discarded old ethics, adopt a new attitude and new ways of thinking to make them part of the societies in which they operated.
“Business leaders of today should forge new relationships with the Government, workers particularly and communities and should adjust their strategies and processes to take advantage of new opportunities created by the revolution,” he said.
