Muchinguri-Kashiri an exemplary minister
EDITOR — May I first and foremost express my gratitude to President Mugabe for appointing Oppah Muchunguri-Kashiri as Minister of Environment, Water and Climate.
She has done an outstanding job in this portfolio.
Historically, this ministry has been led by people worth their weight in gold, but Minister Muchinguri-Kashiri comes top with vibrant key result areas and programmes.
Regionally, she is among the best environmental ministers. I concur with President Mugabe that she belongs in the environmental Hall of Fame.
She is a visionary leader who understands her expectations in enforcing Government programmes as well as adopting international programmes.
As part of her success she bestowed ambassadorship to people who have distinguished themselves in various platforms on issues pertaining to the environment. People who have the environment at heart. Minister Muchinguri-Kashiri has also led tirelessly her ministry as evident in the procurement of state- of-the-art weather machinery that accurately predicts weather to the benefit of local Zimbabweans and tourists as they interact with our environment. Farmers benefit a lot from the weather news. People from abroad benefit a lot as they are able to plan their movement itineraries based on accurately reported weather predictions.
This in turn supports the volume of tourists visiting Zimbabwe resort spots.
