Do not wait until tomorrow

-

Ecclesiastes 12 vs 1; Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, before the difficult days come, and the years draw near when you say, “I have no pleasure in them.”

ILLNESS tends to make us vulnerable, at the best of times it can ravage us to a point where it brings us to humility. We begin to see that the world is truly ruled by the LORD, and when we get to the point of desperation, we put all our faith in Him.

At the point of uncertainty, even for those that may have doubted the existence of GOD, or refused to acknowledge it, begin to see the unseen hand of the LORD.

Many years ago I interacted with someone who had done so well in his life and risen to the pinnacle of his profession. In genuine recourse, he confessed to me that he did not believe that there was a GOD.

A few days ago, I saw him again, ravaged by age and illness, and on his deathbed. He was now a shadow of his former self, the trappings of power had gone, and he was bridled by the vulnerability and pain of illness. My heart bled as he spoke about the need to put his affairs in order as he faced the eventuality that seemed all so certain.

Some people wait until it’s too late to see the hand of the LORD and others never see it. One thing remains constant though, as much as the world may blind us with its allure and promises of pleasure, we must never doubt that there is a GOD.

Through His grace, we must open the eyes of those that don’t have this revelation.

Be blessed.
