Clarity on PSC secretary position

EDITOR — Your front page headline of May 23, 2017, “President reassigns 10 Permanent Secretaries” refers.

The story by Zvamaida Murwira reads: “Permanent Secretary of Women’s Affairs, Gender and Community Development, Dr Perpetua Majoni Gumbo, has been reassigned to be Accounting Officer for the Public Service Commission”.

Please note that the substantive Secretary for the Zimbabwe Service Commissions (Public Service Commission, Defence Forces Service Commission, Police Service Commission and Prisons and Correctional Service Commission) remains Mrs Pretty Sunguro, who is also the accounting officer for the Public Service Commission.

Dr Perpetua Majoni Gumbo was reassigned to be Secretary in the Public Service Commission.
