SALISBURY, 25 May 1942. — Tenders are hereby invited for the work under the above contract.

One copy of the tender documents comprising the specification, schedule of quantities in duplicate, and set of drawings may be obtained from the offices of the City Engineer, Salisbury, or from the Council’s Consulting Engineers, Messrs Stewart, Shand & Oliver, Balgownie House, 66 Commissioner Street, Johannesburg, upon deposit of £3 3s (cheques to be made payable to the Municipality of Salisbury) which will be refunded to the tenderer provided a bona fide tender is submitted and the documents returned intact.

Tenders in sealed envelopes, endorsed on the outside “Tender for Contract A/1942” must be completed in accordance with the conditions to be observed in tendering attached to documents, and addressed to the undersigned.

The tenders must be received at the Municipal Offices, Salisbury, by noon on the 12th June, 1942, at which time they will be opened publicly in the Council Chamber.
