SALISBURY, 25 May 1942. — Tenders are hereby invited for the work under the above contract.

One copy of the tender documents comprising the specificat­ion, schedule of quantities in duplicate, and set of drawings may be obtained from the offices of the City Engineer, Salisbury, or from the Council’s Consulting Engineers, Messrs Stewart, Shand & Oliver, Balgownie House, 66 Commission­er Street, Johannesbu­rg, upon deposit of £3 3s (cheques to be made payable to the Municipali­ty of Salisbury) which will be refunded to the tenderer provided a bona fide tender is submitted and the documents returned intact.

Tenders in sealed envelopes, endorsed on the outside “Tender for Contract A/1942” must be completed in accordance with the conditions to be observed in tendering attached to documents, and addressed to the undersigne­d.

The tenders must be received at the Municipal Offices, Salisbury, by noon on the 12th June, 1942, at which time they will be opened publicly in the Council Chamber.
