Senditoo to sponsor Miss World Zim-UK

UK-based fast-growing tech start-up Senditoo has been announced as one of the sponsors for this year’s Miss World Zimbabwe-UK pageant which is scheduled to take place next month at the De Vere Grand Connaught rooms in London.

The pageant, which has concluded its auditions, will reveal the 10 final girls this month vying for the coveted title.

Pageant director, Chiedza Ziyambe said the partnershi­p with Senditoo was an exciting developmen­t as both organisati­ons shared a similar work ethic and ethos.

“We are delighted to welcome Senditoo on board for the pageant on July 1.

“The organisati­on is doing such amazing work in the Zimbabwe community and we are looking forward to working closely with them to bring a world class event,” she said.

She said the girls will go into camp which till month end.

“Preparatio­ns are at advanced stage and we are excited with every developmen­t which is coming on board. The girls will soon go in camp.

The winners of the pageant will be flown to Zimbabwe to compete for the Miss Zimbabwe 2017 title.

Establishe­d in March last year by Zimbabwean born Takwana Tyaranini and Ibrahim Soumano, Senditoo currently covers 140 countries, including 35 in Africa.

It is directly connected to over 400 mobile operators worldwide with a reach of 4,5 billion prepaid users.

Tyaranini said they were happy to be partnering with Miss World Zim-UK to bring one of Zimbabwe’s positive community initiative­s to the world, as well as support the contestant­s entering the beauty pageant.

He expressed confidence that the new strategic partnershi­p would allow the Miss World Zimbabwe UK an opportunit­y to develop and mentor young girls looking to pursue modelling as a career, as well as add more value to the pageant.
