Youths should heed President’s message
EDITOR — I would like to thank President Mugabe for reminding the youths how the two agricultural programmes have led to a bumper harvest.
The Presidential Inputs Support Scheme and Command Agriculture have been the key driving concepts behind this year’s projected bumper harvest.
As he addressed youths in Mutare, he urged them to desist from criticising every little thing that the Government does.
This is true, the youth should use their energy and inventiveness to make sure that these ideas are more effective.
They should not be swayed by money and resources from imperialists like the President said.
Zimbabwe needs a future leadership that has a unity of purpose and cannot be bribed by overambitious leaders.
The onus is now on the young people to contribute to the growth of their country by bringing new ideas to the table. Waiting to complain about jobs on social media is not going to help us mitigate the effects of the illegal sanctions on our country.
This youth interface will continue to be an eye opener for young Zimbabweans who are getting a first-hand row to the President’s deep wisdom.
They should count themselves lucky as many across the continent are envious of this opportunity.
