SALISBURY, 30 June 1942. — Notice is hereby given, in terms of Section 138 of the Municipal Act (Chapter 97), that the City Council of Salisbury, under the provisions of the said Act, has made and levied the following rates upon all rateable property with the Municipality, namely: (a) An owner’s rate of 1d. (one penny and one farthing) in the £ upon the value of that proportion of the rateable property which consists of land, and
(b) An owner’s rate of 1/8d. (one-eighth of one penny) in the £ upon the value the value of that portion which consists of buildings or improvements, and
(c)(a special sewerage rate of .225. (9/40 of one penny) in the £ upon the value of all rateable property within the sewered area.
And that such rates become due and payable on the 30 June, 1942. In case any such rates remain unpaid after three months from the 30th June, 1942, interest upon such rate will be charged at the rate of (six percent) per annum reckoned from the date upon which such period of three months shall have expired, in terms of Section 149 of the said Act.
