Don’t let life dictate your faith

-

I admire the saints who are able to remain steadfast in their faith; regardless of the passage of time or the circumstances, they remain constant in their love for God. I marvel at these men and women of God who do not tire in their worship of God and who always exhibit the love of God through their actions.

When confronted by the ups and downs of life, most people either draw closer to God or they draw further away from Him. For most people, the flame and the intensity that they have for God tends to die or fade away over time. It becomes increasingly difficult to hold on to their faith and drawing back becomes easier than pushing ahead.

So many people who used to be fired up for God have fallen by the wayside. What is great though is that despite our temperamental nature God remains constant, His love is unchanging and His mercy abounds.

Our prayer should be “Lord help me to love you more, to always be close to you and to never forget but rather cherish and hold on tightly to your every word.”

Our ability to cross the finish line is, to an extent, dependent on our ability to remain faithful. So many have reached the mountain top of glory, but they have allowed life to take that glory away. A life without God loses meaning eventually, all the activity that fills up your life becomes just that; meaningless activity.

Let’s finish the journey of our lives with Him by our side, leading us in every step. With Him we will not fail because He has assured us of success.

May the Lord find you and bring you back home today.

Be blessed.
