Response to “Mhofu makes it 16 unbeaten games”

Well done Mhofu. I hope you are able to keep this clean record of an unbeaten run. — Tino Magadzire.

*** Response to “Chihuri blasts roadblock critics”

Are the roadblocks reducing road carnage? They are actually worsening the situation because drivers will always try to cover up the lost time during roadblocks and to some extent this increases accidents. Can you imagine travelling from Beitbridge? By the time you reach Chivhu you will be exhausted and facing flashing cars, hence so many accidents happen in those areas. Why don’t they install cameras on the roads all over and take manpower to high crime areas? — Elisha Ruuke.

*** Response to “Warriors impress Chigova”

The team worked hard, every player who kicked the ball contributed towards the attainment of this historic victory. Without discrediting anyone, I want to loudly express my heartfelt praise for Ovidy Karuru, Ocean Mushure, George Chigova, Talent Chawapiwa and Knox Mutizwa who did well in scoring goals. But it was Mushure who played a pivotal role in most sections of the pitch and throughout the tournament. — Hata Mthombeni.

*** Response to “Zimpapers launches Business Weekly”

Not having rubbish collected is a serious concern that needs to be solved with speed. Council needs to inform residents what the issues are because some of us are willing to directly deal with this situation. If they need fuel, then we can pool our resources and buy fuel. Our institutions have poor communication; our councillors are useless because they do not communicate. We need better representation. — Ronald Gumbo, Harare.

*** I am impressed by people who play sport in this country. Many of them do not earn as much as their international counterparts and have two or three other jobs to sustain themselves and their families yet we continue to excel. I believe we will not stop growing as a nation and doing better. — Tafadzwa Tevera.

Response to “Chihuri blasts roadblock critics”

When a police commissioner is so detached from issues so glaringly clear and seems so impervious to reason then you know you are in trouble. So intolerant is the commissioner’s tone that people are saying the police are no longer protecting us, but fleecing the people. We yearn for protection, but we are so vulnerable to the evil of corruption on the roads. The police are not there to collect revenue neither are they there to harass. Their duty is to protect and enforce the law. Hasn’t it occurred to him that in spite of all their presence, our public transporters continue to cause accidents and to maim and kill? It is because at the top of their agenda there is no safety or protection. — DP.
