Moyo exposed himself
EDITOR — Professor Jonathan Moyo’s refusal to back up his claims that there are anomalies on General Chiwenga’s doctoral thesis shows that he could have been trying to wiggle out of his liberation war lies.
The burden of proof is on the accuser and Prof Moyo as a law student should know this basic principle. That means General Chiwenga has no business validating his thesis because evidently he is not the one who brought up questions about its authenticity.
Claims without evidence can be constituted as noise and that is what Prof Moyo has been doing on his Twitter account.
It looks like he was hurt about the revelation of his true whereabouts and activities during the war to the point that he seeks to damage the people telling the truth.
Even if he slanders everyone, that does not change the fact that he is a war deserter.
Valid accounts from authentic sources have been brought forward.
Prof Moyo has an issue with anyone who tries to bring the truth about the kind of man he is. He always comes up with silly excuses to divert attention from his own misgivings.
The Herald has not been his favourite paper because it has been telling the truth about his misdemeanour from the ZIMDEF corruption saga.
