We didn’t manage to win the Test, but I’m extremely proud of Zim Cricket! Hopefully the board can see how we need more games for the boys! — @NickkTitan. *** The success of Command Agriculture can only be translated into cheaper consumer goods like maize-meal, beef, beans, clothing, etc. — @SillahVortex.

Response to “From rags to riches and back to rags”

Sugar Sugar and Paradzai Mesi hurt my heart. I think this is the time to assist him not to wait until he is dead. — Simbarashe Chitumba.

Which is more harmful to health, kaylite or smoking in public, people suffer every day? — HTM.

*** I will definitely attend the Paradzai Mesi gala on Saturday. The benefit concert will go a long way in reviving the career of one of the most talented sungura artistes. But he must learn to make hay while the sun shines. — Cde Bla Max Boomerang.

*** Zimbabweans you are given land for free, but you run away from its ownership preferring the skin which you consider better than yours.

You are empowered, but you strongly oppose, opting to be employed. You are showered with real life opportunities, but again you prefer that other skin to grab them. What do you want? — Kunta Kinte.

Response to “City director under probe”

Are these properties being registered with the Deeds Office? If so, the Deeds Office needs to be investigated thoroughly.

In the past, The Herald listed all property transfers at the Deeds Office every Thursday and when one bought a property you were assured that your transfer registration would be in the press within two weeks of full payment for the property. — Jemedzo.

*** Response to “Chinamasa challenges SEZ board

We expect the SEZ authority to have director/executives who will perform executive duties with the SEZ non-executive directors giving oversight. From the video, the chair gives the impression that the board will perform executive functions.

The frequency of board sittings as he stated would appear to suggest the board is not receiving reports from its managers, but is a full time board. The sitting allowances, S&T expenses, etc will shoot up. The board should not perform functions of executive directors, with weekly meetings. — CA.

*** All facets of the economy should function properly with value chain systems resuscitated to ensure the smooth and healthy inter-dependence of production at different levels. There is no way SEZ can revive the economy when other parts of the same economy continue to decay.

Remember this concept of export processing zones flopped some years back when the economy was relatively stable. What more now when corruption, policy inconsistency and other ills are the order of the day. — Shumba Samaita.

*** Response to “First Lady on the mend”

Wishing her all the necessary care and a full recovery. — Cde Mzvinavhu (Prof)

*** Response to “Reprieve for kaylite manufacturers, users”

I thought tobacco was a worse scourge. Why ban kaylite instead of labelling that they are a health risk? Let them contribute their profits to a cancer fund. Do more research and let the Ministry of Health pronounce the prevalence of kaylite-related cancer. EMA is not qualified to pronounce on health issues. What is the replacement packaging? Are those blackish meat and tomato trays in supermarkets kaylite as well? — Inga. Readers are invited to send comments and feedback through any of the above platforms.
