TOP gospel musicians are set to grace the annual One Voice Concert to be held at the Harare International Conference Centre on September 30.

Musicians that include Mechanic Manyeruke, Zexie Manatsa, Vabati Vajehova, Vabvuwi Cranborne United Methodist and Pastor Haisa among others are set to grace the event.

Several groups that include Faith Ministries Worship, Zaoga Breaside Choir, Flaming Word Praise Team, Goodness and Mercy Worship Team, UFIC choir, Africa Praise, KPM Choir, Spirit Praise Choir among others will be performing at the event.

Organiser of the event and Spirit Praise choir director Learnmore Tavengwa said they have added gospel greats to spice up the event.

“This is just to spice up the event we added the gospel greats and they have all confirmed their participation on the day,” he said.

Tavengwa whose group is part of the performers said vocalists have their chance to shine.

“You only realise how people are talented when you go to these churches. So there is need to bring them together so that we expose that talent to the public,” he said.

His group has released two albums and singles that were launched recently is ready to usher worshipers into a blessed show.

“We recently launched singles and they are doing well and we are happy to be coming up with these choral groups that will be performing at the event,” he said.

That is another chance for the groups to exchange notes a move that will develop the growth of choral music in the country.

“It is high time choral music is taken seriously in the country. People out there like it and it is the duty of everyone involved to take it to the people,” he said.

Tavengwa said the event will be held annually with several choral groups coming on board.

“We are making it an annual event. I hope people will understand the concept as we move. For this second edition we hope all will go according to the plan,” he said.
