Mafikizolo’s highway party to Kadoma

-

SOUTH Africa music stars Mafikizolo, who fly into Zimbabwe this afternoon will have a highway party on their way to Kadoma where they are set to perform at Odyssey Hotel tonight.

The group is set to land at the Harare International Airport at 12noon and the road party begins at 1pm.

A convoy will depart from Rainbow Towers hotel at 1pm and it will stop in Norton and Chegutu as the party continues until it lands in Kadoma where multitudes of fans are expected to be waiting for Mafikizolo. Organisers have invited all party lovers to join the convoy.

Also on the highway party would be local musicians that are supporting Mafikizolo at the show that include Oliver Mtukudzi, Jah Prayzah, Leonard Zhakata, Freeman and Diana Samkange.

The show will be a big event for Kadoma that rarely witnesses gigs of such magnitude. It will be the first time for Mafikizolo to perform in the town and anticipations are high.

To prove that it will be a big night for the Mashonaland West town, organisers of the show 2Kings Entertainment will spice the event with fireworks that are expected to illuminate the sky at 9pm.

Also to spice the event would be a continuation of Mtukudzi’s birthday celebrations that will be marked by the cutting of another cake from Cake Link during the night. Mtukudzi turned 65 on September 22 and celebrated with a show at his Pakare Paye Arts Centre in Norton last week.

2Kings Entertainment said the continuation of the celebrations is their way of saluting Mtukudzi for the great work that he has done for the music industry and the arts and culture at large.

Dee Nosh of 2Kings entertainment said people should buy tickets in advance to avoid disappointment since the tickets are selling fast.

“Tickets are selling fast in Harare, Kadoma, Chegutu and Kwekwe. We encourage people to buy tickets in advance to avoid disappointment. The show is likely to be sold out and those that are coming from other towns should contact us and book in advance. All the early birds are assured a night of partying with Mafikizolo.”
